Walkersons Pastures Village W108 and W111 is located in the Walkersons Private Estate home of the renowned 5-Star Walkersons Hotel, just 10 kilometres outside of Dullstroom on the Lydenberg Road. Guests don't need to brave a gravel road to reach the establishment.
The accommodation comprises 2, fully equipped houses, W108 and W11, built in a highveld farm house style whcih can accommodate 10 guests at a time. The houses comprise 3 bedrooms, each with en-suite bathrooms. There is a double sleeper couch in the living room. The main bedroom has a queen-size bed and the other 2 bedrooms each have a double bed and 1 single bed.
Each house has an open-plan living area, fitted with a wood fireplace for the colder winter months.
The kitchen is equipped with a stove and oven, a fridge-freezer, a microwave, coffee- and tea-making facilities, crockery, cutlery and a dishwasher. Guests can enjoy their meals at a large dining table or relax in the comfortable lounge.
W111 has a cocktail deck with a gas braai. The deck offers a view of the trout dam with the mountains in the background where the sun sets.
Guests are welcome to head to the Walkersons Hotel for meals, drinks and big-screen TV for major sporting events, but should note that the hotel has private functions at times.
The estate is access controlled and 24-hour security guards patrol the grounds.
The houses are separated by a small plaza and can be booked separately, or as a whole for larger groups. Bedding, towels and handsoap are supplied for guests' convenience.
Regrettably, pets are not allowed by the estate management. The houses are serviced daily for free, with the exception of Wednesdays. Cleaning services are also available on public holidays at no extra cost.
Wood for the fireplace is supplied, but guests are required to bring along charcoal for the braai.
Walkersons Private Estate offers Trout-fishing at 18 dams on the premises and each house includes 4, free fishing day permits. Please read the fishing rules upon arrival to prevent inconvenience. Catch-and-release-rules apply to all guests.
The estate has easy footpaths and biking routes along the river, dams and the valley, as well as a more challenging route all along the mountain between the game and birdlife on the property.
The internal roads are paved, making it great for cycling and jogging. Speeds is strictly controlled to ensure that everyone who uses there roads are safe. Please bring your own bikes.
A DStv connection with a screen is available. Guests just need to bring their own decoder. Both standard and Explora decoders supported.
