Schoemanshof is located on the banks of the Vaal River. The area is best known for the Vredefort Dome World Heritage Site and an ideal breakaway for those seeking accommodation in a area away from the buzzing city life.

Accommodation comprises 3 self-catering units and 1 bush camp which include Kruisbessie, Doppruim, Kollegerus and TokkelosBos. The 3 units offer comfortable beds, a bathroom and kitchen facilities. The camp site has no electricity but do have two bathrooms with a gas geyser.

On-site activities include fly fishing which is offered on a catch and release only basis, hiking trails, braai facilities, river rafting on request, game drives on request and secure parking.

Nearby activities include horse riding, fishing, cycling, game drives, game viewing and mountain biking.

Unfortunately no pets are allowed. We have a no music policy.

All our units are non-smoking.

Please don't collect firewood; you can buy a bag of wood from us for R30.
Make fire only in designated braai areas, and please keep it burning low and controled during the dry winter months.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelling 14 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the booking total.
If cancelling 21 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the deposit.
If cancelling 30 days before arrival, forfeit 50% of the deposit.
