Overview

Doornstock Lodge and House offers accommodation in the Zingela Nature Reserve in the heart of the bushveld. The Zingela Nature Reserve is 27 000-hectare reserve situated in Tolwe, Limpopo, 200 km from Mokopane and Polokwane, and a mere 4.5 hour’s drive from Johannesburg and Pretoria.

Doonstock House is a self-catering house that can accommodate up to 6 guests and comprises 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area. The first and second bedrooms each contain a double bed. The third bedroom contains 2 single beds. The kitchen is well-equipped for self-catering with a stove and oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, and cutlery and crockery. The dining area contains a 10-seater dining table and chairs. The lounge contains a flat-screen TV.

Doornstock Lodge features free-standing units that can accommodate up to 4 guests and have an open-plan layout. Each unit contains a double bed, a bunk bed and a shower en suite with a toilet and washbasin.

Guests will have access to a shared communal swimming pool and a lapa braai area.

Activities on the reserve include game walks, game drives - to be booked before arrival.

Important Information

Under no circumstances are guests allowed to feed the animals.
This is applicable at the Baobab Tented Lodge /Doornstock /Leadwood Lodge and on the reserve.
No damaging of Zingela property which includes destruction or harming of infrastructure, plant life (do not carve names into trees).
Use only the wood provided for fires, fires only allowed in designated areas- please extinguish fires when no longer needed.
Please do not remove anything unless litter form the reserve. (That includes both fauna and flora).
No fireworks/ sky lanterns/balloons are allowed.
You may leave the vehicle.
Guests are not allowed to drive alone on the reserve.
Speed limit 40 km/h.
No drinking while driving!
No smoking in tents (please ensure that cigarette butts are thrown in the dustbin).
Please, no loud music or any other such noise pollution (you are here for nature).
Gates of the reserve will be closed at 16h00pm and open at 07h00am.
Check - in will not be allowed after 17:00. Unfortunately no exceptions
