Zingela Nature Reserve - Doornstock Family Lodge

Doornstock Lodge and House offers accommodation in the Zingela Nature Reserve in the heart of the bushveld. The Zingela Nature Reserve is 27 000-hectare reserve situated in Tolwe, Limpopo, 200 km from Mokopane and Polokwane, and a mere 4.5 hour’s drive from Johannesburg and Pretoria.

Doonstock House is a self-catering house that can accommodate up to 6 guests and comprises 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area. The first and second bedrooms each contain a double bed. The third bedroom contains 2 single beds. The kitchen is well-equipped for self-catering with a stove and oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, and cutlery and crockery. The dining area contains a 10-seater dining table and chairs. The lounge contains a flat-screen TV.

Doornstock Lodge features free-standing units that can accommodate up to 4 guests and have an open-plan layout. Each unit contains a double bed, a bunk bed and a shower en suite with a toilet and washbasin.

Guests will have access to a shared communal swimming pool and a lapa braai area.

Game you can expect to see on the reserve include cheetah, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, blue wildebeest, red hartebeest, sable, roan, kudu, eland, oryx, impala, waterbuck, duiker, steenbok, caracal, and jackal. African wildcat, bat-eared fox, genet, porcupine, aardvark, aardwolf, brown hyena, leopard and honey badger are seen less often on the reserve, but if you are lucky you may spot them. Activities on the reserve include game walks, game drives, bird spotting, and waterhole hides.
