The space
Originally built around 1758 on what was once a thriving vegetable farm, Kloof Farm House has been thoughtfully restored and tastefully modernised over time. It retains the rustic charm and character of an authentic farmhouse while offering all the contemporary comforts you’d expect—such as a reliable solar power system with battery backup for uninterrupted comfort during your stay.
The moment you step inside, you’re greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere, with every detail carefully curated to evoke a sense of calm and nostalgia. Wooden floors, vintage steel-framed windows, high ceilings, and delicate corner mouldings come together with a palette of earthy tones to create a timeless elegance. The design invites you to slow down and enjoy a more relaxed rhythm of life, far removed from the demands of the modern world.
Kloof Farm House comfortably sleeps up to six guests, with two beautifully appointed en-suite bedrooms and a third bedroom served by a separate bathroom. The layout is spacious and flowing, beginning with a welcoming entrance area that doubles as a library and reading nook. From there, you’ll find a large open-plan living and dining area, ideal for both quiet evenings and entertaining. This communal space connects seamlessly to a fully equipped kitchen with an adjacent scullery, making meal preparation both easy and enjoyable.
French doors open onto a generous veranda furnished with comfortable seating, providing an idyllic setting to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Whether you're sipping morning coffee or unwinding in the evening, the view across the landscaped garden and toward the mountains in the distance is nothing short of breathtaking. For outdoor dining, there’s a large table that seats eight, shaded by multiple umbrellas, along with a Weber gas braai to make alfresco meals a memorable part of your stay. Opaque roller blinds on the veranda offer protection from the midday sun, so you can enjoy the space throughout the day.
Just a few steps from the veranda lies a sparkling swimming pool surrounded by loungers, perfect for lazy afternoons. The soothing sounds of the nearby pond, accompanied by the gentle calls of local birdlife, create a deeply calming ambiance. The gardens are an experience in themselves—lush, landscaped, and filled with character. Wander beneath the ancient oak tree, discover clusters of vibrant Clivias, Ferns, and towering Strelitzia, and feel immersed in the rich natural beauty of the region. The iconic outline of Chapman’s Peak rising in the background only adds to the dramatic setting.

Guest access
Guests have exclusive access to the entire house, gardens, swimming pool, and all amenities during their stay. Your privacy is fully respected, yet the space is maintained to a high standard with regular, discreet visits from a cleaner and gardener twice a week.

While your stay will feel entirely private, please note that a cleaner and a gardener are on-site twice a week to ensure the house and garden remain as beautiful and comfortable as possible.
