Driftsands Sea View Flats, Uvongo

Driftsands Sea View Flats is situated in Uvongo, 150 km South of Durban. Located a mere 50 m from the sea and across the road from the Uvongo tidal pool, with the Uvongo bathing beach only a 3-minute walk away.

The 14 Seafront units all have magnificent 180-degree sea-views. The units are compact and comfortable with inter-leading rooms. There is 1 bathroom fitted with either a shower, or a shower over the bath. These units can accommodate up to 6 guests. The Colin Road Flats are 4 beautiful modern units, located near the office. Each unit comprises 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms, 1 being en-suite fitted with a shower while the shared bathroom has a bath. These units have large living area and can accommodate up to 6 guests.

The Shad Cottage is a small cottage that can accommodate a maximum of 4 guests. There is a small separate bedroom plus a second small room that serves as either a lounge or second bedroom, as well as a full bathroom and kitchen. It overlooks the swimming pool and shares the enclosed garden and braai area. There is a limited sea view.

The only 4 sleeper unit, 101, consist of 2 inter-leading rooms and a shower, basin and toilet. The first room has 2 single beds, the inside room contains a sleeper couch, microwave, 2-plate hot plate, kettle, toaster, bar fridge and colour TV. Both of the bedsitter 2 sleeper units, 103-104, are small, ideal for a maximum of 2 guests of all ages. There is only 1 room which consists of 1 queen-size bed, microwave, toaster, kettle, 2-plate hotplate, bar fridge and flat-screen TV. There is a separate shower, basin and toilet. There is a sea view from the shared veranda.

There is a Wi-Fi hot spot at the office in the center of the complex.

For the active holidays, there are bowling greens, tennis courts, squash courts, 8 golf courses, a putt-putt course, go-carts, surf and rock fishing, ski boat fishing, bird watching and whale watching. The 2 shopping centers, The Shelly Centre with cinemas and the South Coast Mall, a crocodile farm and a game farm cater for a more relaxed holiday. The world famous Oribi Gorge and Nature Reserve as well as the Wild Coast Casino are easily accessible by car.
