"De Leeuwenhof Estate", established in 1698 Situated in the Klein Drakenstein area and issued in 1694 to a french/dutch Hugenot called Jean Du Bois for his work for the VOC, The main buildings as well as the farm part itself, have been fully restored and an old barn and old stables have been upgraded to a 4-star guest facility in 2008. As the estate holds only an exclusive number of 10 rooms, 4 (self catering) one-bedroom luxury cottages and two apartments as well as a seasonal restaurant and two real swimming pools, one finds himself in a quiet and exclusive setting and even the most spoiled traveler will find all his needs at " De Leeuwenhof".
On the farm there are 3500 fruit trees which are hand-picked from March until September on a daily basis, when asked for, every visitor gets to attend a private tour by the farmer and if one wishes one gets to ride an old tractor. Most people really like the peace and quietness on the Estate, and as we see many bird and animal life around the premises, animal and bird lovers will not be disappointed.

Our Cancellation and payments policy " de Leeuwenhof " 2020 - 2021

* cancellation less than 7 days prior forfeits 90% of booking amount
* Cancellations of 14 to 28 days prior forfeits 75% of the booking amount
* If cancelled up to 28 days before date of arrival 50% of the booking amount will be charged as set out in our deposit policy

[No cancellation fee will be charged if the cancellation was due to the death or hospitalisation of the person for whose benefit the reservation was made or to a general lockdown due to a pandemic or virus outbreak.]

Deposit policy:
as "de Leeuwenhof Hotel" offers a random date booking possibility via an online service, you allow us to take a 50% deposit charge on your credit card of the total amount and this is regarded as an "irrevocable down payment" to secure the room or apartment for you as desired.

** A refund will be made if cancelled due to hospitalisation or a virus outbreak or lockdown for the booked dates.

Cancellation Policy

No show or cancellation within 14 days of stay – No refund due.
Cancellation between 15 and 30 days before stay – 25% of the deposit will be refunded.
Cancellation between 60 and 30 days before stay – 50% of the deposit will be refunded
Cancellation more than 60 days before stay – full refund.
