The Marine fauna in South Africa is almost as stunning as the Big Five! The 900-kilometer-long Cape Whale Route runs from Strandfontein, close to Muizenberg, to Plettenberg Bay in the southern Cape. We have the incredible opportunity to interact closely with southern right whales when they travel to our coasts every year between June and December to mate and give birth. The best time to see whales is between August and October, though they can occasionally arrive sooner and stay later.
